What would a beach vacation be without the wonderful sweat treat of donuts. In Panama City Beach, you can find amazing donuts from the classics to ones covered in fun cereal toppings like Fruity Pebbles and Fruit Loops. We have listed our favorite donut shops in Panama City Beach and have also included some reviews from Yelp that we found were pretty accurate.

Our favorite is Amore Donuts which have some amazing donut creations like ones with Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops, Oreos, and more. Their maple bacon donuts are incredible if you like sweet/savory foods. We have also heard their apple fritters are really good. In addition to donuts, they also have pizza, burgers subs, and other lunch/dinner foods popular on the beach. This place is about a 5 miles away from the Anchors a Wave condo so it is about a 15 minute drive (or get your steps in for an easy flat 10 mile roundtrip walk there). For a place within easy walking distance see Sunrise Cafe.

A close second is Thomas Donut & Snack Shop which is locally owned and operated since 1971. Their donuts are delicious and very filling since they are more a dense donut type. Locals tip: They open at 6AM so get there early (especially in the summer) since there is often a long line and also get a sausage egg and cheese biscuit (they are amazing!) in addition to donuts. Their website is not the best, but it does list their menu so you can see what you want before you go there. You can eat there, take back to the condo and eat on the balcony, or just eat them on the beach and watch the sunrise. This place is about a 10 miles away from the Ancors a Wave condo so it is about a 30 minute drive. For a place within easy walking distance see Sunrise Cafe.

This is not just a donut/breakfast place, but has a lot of modern European dishes (especially Russian) for lunch/dinner. They make fresh donuts in the morning and have a specialty of fried glazed croissants that are incredible. There is not a lot of parking, but this place is an easy 15 minute walk from the Anchors A Wave condo.

This shop is not located on the beach so it is a little bit of a drive into Panama City, but it is worth the trek. The donuts are handmade and big! Some favorites of ours: cherry fritters, glazed and chocolate yeast. They also have breakfast fare such as biscuits and cheese grits. It is a take out only place with no dine in options, so we always pick up our donuts and eat them for breakfast on the balcony with a great view for the best start of the day.

The Donut Hole is actually in Rosemary Beach, and if you are going out that way to spend the day at a different beach, it is a great stop for breakfast. Our recommendation: split the breakfast plate is called The Everything. It is two huge plate size pancakes, two eggs, 1 bacon, 1 sausage and 1 ham slice and coffee. It is a great price for 2 and get a donut on the side.
